Bruce was born to George and Alice Morris on July 27, 1953 in Tomball, TX. Upon graduating Tomball High School in 1971, he was accepted to the Naval Academy.
At the Naval Academy in Annapolis, he was known as a good guy with a sardonic sense of humor who loved Dr. Pepper. He received both a Joint Service Commendation Medal and a Meritorious Unit Commendation.
After graduation from the United States Naval Academy in 1975, Bruce served as a Lieutenant on various ships including the USS Truckee until 1980.
In 1980, he also met his future wife of 43-years Charlotte Morris on a blind date set up by his brother Brock. Bruce and Charlotte wed June 28, 1980, going on to become a father in 1981 with Brett, and again in 1984 with Jill.
He became a proud grandfather to Gwendolyn in 2007.
Bruce began his career at LTV that later became Loral Vought Systems and finally integrated into Lockheed Martin. He specialized in Nuclear and Electromagnetic effects. Bruce worked on many programs through the years including but not limited to the B2 Bomber, PAC-3, THAAD as well as the presidential helicopter. Bruce retired in 2013 as a Senior Fellow of Lockheed Martin.
Predeceased by his parents, wife, and two brothers, Bruce is survived by his children, Brett and Jill, and granddaughter Gwen.
The family requests in lieu of flowers donations be made to your favorite animal charity in his name. Anyone who knew Bruce, knew how much he loved cats.
A visitation will be held at J.E. Foust & Son Funeral Directors, located at 523 S Main St, Grapevine, TX 76051, on January 7, 2026, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
The funeral service will take place at the same venue on January 8, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.
Following the funeral service, a committal service will occur at Bear Creek Cemetery, 100 Bear Creek Cemetery Rd, Euless, TX 76039, on January 8, 2026, from 11:30 am to 12:00 pm.
