Claudia Alvarez Olguin of Flower Mound, TX passed away January 20, 2020 at the age of 49. She was born on July 26, 1970 in Laredo, TX to Jose and Maria Alvarez. She married Martin Olguin on July 17 in 1994. She worked hard to pursue her Education degree at Texas Wesleyan and taught in the Arlington ISD. Claudia's brief career as a Bilingual teacher was fulfillment of a lifelong dream.

Claudia is a wonderful wife and devoted 25 years of her life to making her husband, the best man he could be. She inspired him to make a better life for her and their children. She showered him with love and affection and made him feel like the most important man in the world.

Claudia is a proud mother of daughters, Olivia and Emily, and son, Eric. She raised her children to love unconditionally and to treat each other with kindness and respect. She made it her mission to make sure that she knew they were loved and that they always have what they need. Their happiness was what she wanted most for them and everyone strived to make Mama happy. She was the heart of the family.

Unfortunately health issues prevented her from fulfilling her full life's journey. Those that knew her were blessed by how she touched their lives. The true tragedy is for those that never had the chance to spend a few moments with Claudia and just have a quick hello and chat and feel her friendship and love.

She was preceded in death by son, Martin Xavier, born before his time.

Cherishing her memory are husband of 25 years, Martin; children, Olivia with husband Evan, Emily with Kris, and Eric; mother Maria; father, Jose; sister Veronica Bressie and Dr. Ed Gonzalez and her children Nick and Erica; sister Monika Reid and her husband Jim and children Alexis, Amanda, Mason; and sister Sara. Her in-laws: mother Inez; father Henry; brother Carlos; sisters Helen with Hector and children Eli, Celene, Bella; and Leeann with husband Jimmy and her children Jeremey, Jonathan, and Janessa. Among countless friends and family are Stephen and Julie Wheeler with daughter Lindsay, Charlie and Maria Salazar, Daniel Salazar and so many more.

Visitation will be 10:00am-12:00pm, Wednesday, January 22, 2020 at Foust and Son Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 12:00pm, Wednesday, January 22, 2020 at Foust and Son Funeral Home.

Claudia especially loved her puppies: Bean and his former brothers Trent, Fluffy, and sister Emma. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to your local animal shelter.

We knew Claudia to be a lovely lady who wore a radiant smile and had a sweet and compassionate heart. We felt so blessed to have Claudia touch not only our lives, but also the lives of our grandchildren, Alexis, Mason, and Amanda by being the loving Aunt she was.
She will be missed, but not forgotten. Rest in peace dear Claudia.

Claudia was a very special person and a loving aunt to our grandchildren, Nick and Erica. Whenever we were around Claudia, there was sunshine in the room. I never heard her complain , always a joy radiating from her. May her memory live eternal. We know her new home in heaven is a wonderful, colorful place.

Claudia was my role model to being a bilingual teacher. She ALWAYS had a beautiful smile on her face and was always positive. We always laughed and helped each other out. She would make the best brownies and chocolate chip cookies in the world.
Even though she was not feeling well, she came to my masters degree dinner party. Thank you friend! I love you so much and I will miss you with all of my heart.

My Yaya is my bestest friend and sister. I want everyone to know that I believe she was here with us for during this very short time to teach each of us what love feels and looks like. Because of my Yaya, I have learned so much. I will live from this day forward with her spirit in me. In hopes I can pass on all the loving things she instilled in me.

All I want to say is that it’s too soon. I will forever miss you every single second.

Forever I love you more, more, more!
Go Mimi now Yaya 💕

Claudia was a friend of mine, a very good friend. Id known Martin and her even before they got married. I did go to their wedding, and we always kept in touch. Lots of good memories from those days. Memories that I treasure, I would never forget here. She leaves one of my best friends in the world alone, Ill keep up with him, more frequently, not as sporadically I had been. I am very sad she left us, I enclose a picture of the last day I saw her. Martin and her were in Austin and they insisted to come and see me for a little bit, they met my kids, and they really brighten everybody's day, I wont forget her smile. My big pain right now is that I wont be able to be with Martin to say the last farewells to Claudia. The only thing ill tell you Martin is. Let her live in your memory, happy as ever, as she always was, as I always remember her. Ill see you soon Martin. and, soon enough, we will see Claudia again. We just need to hang on for our kiddos, your kiddos are precious. Take care. Claudia, my friend, rest in peace
