

Douglas was born Nov. 9, 1964, in Oshkosh, Wis., the son of Wayne and Elaine Treul Chaney. He graduated from Lourdes Academy High School in 1982, the College of St. Thomas in 1988 with a BA, and the University of Wisconsin in Oshkosh, in 1993 with an MBA. He attended the Sophia University of Japan in 1986. He had lived in Texas for the past 21 years, and in Trophy Club for the past seven years. He was president and owner of DC Logistics, building his business into the success it is today. He was on the board of directors at the Trophy Club Country Club, the Positive Strokes Racquet Club, the IWLA, past president of DFW Transportation Club, regional director of Lancaster Chamber of Commerce, member CSCMP, Southwest Logistics Resource Group and mentor at Northlake College. Doug was a proud Green Bay Packers fan and an Eagle Scout. He was an avid tennis player and took pleasure in playing tennis on multiple teams in the area. He was proud to be undefeated this year in doubles team play. He enjoyed traveling, diverse restaurants and lived life to the fullest. He was an amateur photographer, loved spending time with his family and friends and was a blessing to everyone he knew. Doug's last month was spent doing what he loved, spending quality time with his daughters, embarking on a new adventure, his time in Chile, and sharing joyous memories with dear friends and family. Survivors: Doug leaves two beautiful daughters, Elizabeth Chantal Chaney and Alexandria Nicole Chaney, both of Rogers, Ark.; his parents, Wayne and Elaine Chaney of Trophy Club and Green Lake, Wis.; sisters, Deb Rupar and her husband, Dan, and their children, Daley and Shaefer Rupar, and Christine Yaccino and her husband, David, and their children, Blake, Keegan, Cooper and Xander Yaccino; and many dear friends and colleagues. Funeral: 10 a.m. Friday, Fellowship United Methodist Church, 101 Trophy Club Drive, Trophy Club. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at J.E. Foust & Son Funeral Home, 523 S. Main St., Grapevine.
