Duane Elwood Ginn was born October 9, 1937 in Houston, Texas, the son of Elwood and Ethel Ginn. He entered into rest on September 29, 2014 in Las Colinas, Texas at the age of 76 years, 11 months and 20 days. Duane had lived in Grapevine since 2005, coming here from Houston. He completed his undergrad at Abilene Christian University and received a masters in History from the University of Houston. A member of the Church of Christ, Duane loved the gospel and was also a minister. He loved to sing and listen to music, especially classical. He was a historian and enjoyed reading and watching sports. He worked in insurance sales for many years. Duane was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Celeste “Dimples” Ginn; and his brothers, Steve Ginn, Kenneth Ginn and Bobby Ginn. He leaves to cherish his memory his sons, Gerry Ginn of Grapevine and Michael Ginn and wife Samantha of Frisco; daughter, Camille; grandchildren, Journey Ginn and Kennedi Ginn. Memorial services will be held October 25th at Northwest Church of Christ, 6720 W. Tidwell, Houston, TX 77092 at 11:00 AM CST.
