My three sons all attended Johnson Elementary. They had the privilege and honor to meet the kindest lady- Ms Ellen. My oldest, 24, was always talking about Ms Ellen. We last saw Ms Ellen at Tom Thumb in January.  The love and hug that was exchanged between Ryan and Ms Ellen is something I will never forget.

I met Ellen through our mutual friend, Christi Leatherman. We were both fighting cancer and Christi knew we should meet. I only knew Ellen for a couple of years but she was and still is a huge inspiration to me. Her strong faith and fighting spirit while fighting cancer was so wonderful.  Whenever I feel down or discouraged I think of Ellen and her beautiful smile, The service today was so beautiful. I have some frozen figs Ellen gave me the last time I saw her. I will think of her while I try and make fig jam that will never be as good as hers. My love and heart goes out to Bobby, Debbie and the entire family. 

50 years goes by quick. Wonderful, careing!

We met at The Way Coffee in Red River and exchanged jams. Ms. Ellen was an inspiration to me. Her faith and courage was so amazing. She fought cancer with all she had. The same week she started hospice was the week I graduated from the UNM Cancer Center after 14 years. God must have more for me to do here on earth!
God is holding Ms Ellen in His arms and she is free of pain now. Her last post was of the cardinal and I will miss her fb posts. Debbie, we also met last summer and my prayers are for comfort for your family and your dad. 
Meanwhile, I watered the little fig tree Ellen brought for me to New Mexico so lovingly and I will always have a reminder of Ellen here in my garden. Hugs to all the family.

My prayers and thoughts will be with your family this week as you experience the pain of losing a loved one and also celebrating her entry into Heaven to be with her Lord.
   I taught at Johnson Elementary School which is where I came to know her.  Ellen was a hard and enthusiastic worker and loved others.  I counted it a privilege she chose me as a friend.

I met Ellen at Johnson Elementary. She immediately made me feel welcome. She was always kind, encouraging, and kept a constant smile on her face. Everyone always felt special when in Ellen’s presence.  You fought a great fight, Ellen! You will be dearly missed.

Ellen Marie  Redd Channel my beautiful cousin may have lost a battle but she did not lose the fight.  I know she is enjoying her heavenly body  ,out of pain,, and in her beautiful surroundings looking down and touching the hearts she has left behind trying to soothe and comfort them as  is heavenly possible . Growing up as kids we were close, playing and just being kids.  As teens she went through trials and tribulations  but I never heard her complain.  One of my favorite memories is Bobby Channel that became her partner in life. Debbie was her other great moment in time she was blessed with a baby girl.  Ellen and Bobbies proudest moments.  She loved her grandsons,  they were blessings.  Yes my cousin Ellen  was the best.  A good heart and a blessed soul.  We will have a void in our hearts and will miss you deeply.  I will smile though every now and then just knowing you beat Satan. May the Lord be with Bobby Debbie and grandsons healing and blessings all the rest of their days.  I'm going to miss you, always Jamey

A beautiful, sweet soul that has gone home on the wings of Angels. You will be missed, Ellen. 

I met sweet Ellen when I worked at Walgreens. We hit it off immediately when she saw the Lynyrd Skynyrd top I had on! LOL She shared how she had partied with them after a concert when she was younger. Then one Sunday she showed up at my church, not knowing I went there. You see, Jesus had changed us both. Ellen inspired a lot of people because a person could see Christ in her in all she was. May God bless all the family in the months and years to come. I will miss Ellen, her love and all her Facebook post. 🙏🌹❤️

Ellen was one of the sweetest people I had the pleasure of meeting through her amazing daughter, Debbie. I remember Ellen and I being in the hospital at the same time and even though I know she was not feeling well, her and Bobby walked over to my room to check on me! They were such a hoot and she was always in good spirits even when you knew she was in pain. I’ll never forget her laugh and her kindness! Debbie, Bobby and Darren Micah and I are so sorry for your loss! We will see this week!
