Kenneth Ely

Kenneth N. Ely, Jr., 66, of Southlake, passed away August 31, 2014 at his home. He was born September 19, 1947 in Stamford, CT, the son of Kenneth and Vincenza (Gallace) Ely. Kenneth had lived in Southlake for the past 16 years, moving here from Connecticut. He worked in the Finance INdustry for the past 45 years, most recently at Nationstar Mortgage. His days were devoted to his wife and children. He loved football and playing cards. Ken had a gentle heart, touched many people's lives and had many dear friends. He was a member of the Good Shepherd Catholic Community in Colleyville. kenneth and Susan Symanko were united in marriage on May 18, 1986 in Norwalk, CT. He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth N. Ely, Sr. and his brother, Donald Ely. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife Susan Symanko Ely of the home; children, Justin William Ely of Houston, TX, Brooke Lauren Ely and Lara Gabrielle Ely both of Southlake, TX; and Michael Ely of Stamford, CT and Krista D. Mondschein and husband Andrew of Charlottesville, VA; his mother, Vincenza Ely of Stamford, CT, brother, Glen Sly and Jouyce Gentilozzi of Fairfield, CT and sister, Phyllis Bria and husband Rick of Greenwich, CT; two grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews and many dear friends. Memorial services will be held Thursday, September 4 at 6:30 pm at the J.E. Foust Funeral Home Chapel. Memorial Mass will be held Tuesday, September 9 at 10:30 am at St. Leo's Church, Roxbury Road, Stamford, CT.
