Celebration of Life: 3pm on Saturday July 11, 2026 at the Chapel at JE Foust & Sons Funeral Home at 523 S. Main Street in Grapevine, Texas.
Madge was born December 3, 1945 in Lawton, OK to Robert G. and Nurrie Porter; her sister Alice followed five years later. Life eventually took them to Gordon, Texas, where Madge met the love of her life, Tom Turner. They married on May 8, 1964, and built their beautiful life together with two children, five grandchildren, and later two great-grandchildren. Madge enjoyed visits with family and friends, traveling with Tommy, reading news and countless books, hosting family dinners, and sitting out on the patio with her beloved pugs. She was an adored wife and devoted mother to Bryan and Amy, and she was always the first to celebrate life’s everyday milestones. Gramma, as she was affectionately called by the grandchildren and great-grandchildren she cherished, was a kind soul, had a quick wit, and could tell an amazing story with her characteristic wry sense of humor.
Madge is preceded in death by her beloved husband Tom, her father and mother Robert G and Nurrie Porter, father-in-law and mother-in-law HD and Josephine Turner. She is survived by her son Bryan Turner and wife Cristin Parker Turner of Colleyville; daughter Amy Turner McPheeters and husband Paul McPheeters of Avon, CO; grandchildren Nicole Turner Smith and husband Blake Smith, Maggie Turner, Jack Turner, Aaron McPheeters and Maris McPheeters; great-granddaughters Mary Elle Smith and Margo Smith; sister Alice Hergenrader of Patzcuaro, MX; brother-in-law Jim Turner and wife Stella of Bronte; sister-in-law Alta Lynn Gerlach and husband the Rev. John Gerlach of Midland; and numerous nieces, cousins, extended family, and friends. She was loved by all who knew her, and she will be greatly missed. Love you big, Mom/Gramma/Madge.
