Norma Ruth Keplinger, age 88, of Spring, Texas passed away on Wednesday, April 12, 2023. If dynamite comes in small packages, Norma Keplinger was no exception. This fiery, compassionate, fiercely loyal, and gracious woman made her earthly debut in McAlester, Oklahoma on August 24, 1934. Born prematurely to Ruth and Medford Lane Talburt, she began her life-fighting. She liked to say she was so small that she fit in a shoe box. From that moment on, she was constantly “blowing and going,” as she would proudly say. Throughout her life, she wore many hats. She was a competitive skate dancer, an executive assistant, Parkwood Community Ambassador, but most importantly, Norma was the rock for her family and friends. Always there to offer a glass of tea, a shoulder to cry on/an ear to listen to, and a place to stay. She was passionate and fiercely loyal to those lucky enough to own a place in her heart. Her favorite thing in the world was entertaining friends.
On April 12, 2023, Norma completed her earthly journey and reunited with her loving husband, E.E. (Kep) Keplinger, and her two amazing sisters, Dorothy Hildreth and Melba Williamson in Heaven. She is survived by: her children, Kathy Boyle, and spouse Terry Boyle, Robert E. (Bob) Keplinger, and spouse Sheri Keplinger, grandchildren: Jennifer Junge and spouse Kevin Junge, Ashley Keplinger, Robert Keplinger Jr. and spouse Nanaka Keplinger, Samuel Clark, and spouse Samantha Clark and great-grandchildren Audrey Junge, Reese Welsh, Ezra Junge, Nennette Keplinger, Benjamin Junge, Scarlett Keplinger, Boston Clark, Felicity Kavanagh, Kep Clark and Lincoln Keplinger and her brother Lane Talburt and a multitude of nieces and nephews.
A visitation for Norma will be held Wednesday, April 19, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at JE Foust and Son, 523 S. Main St, Grapevine, TX. A funeral service will occur Thursday, April 20, 2023 at 2:00 PM. A committal service will occur at Bear Creek Cemetery.
