Ramona "Carmen" T. Wilson

Ramona Tapia Wilson (“Carmen”) passed away unexpectedly in the early hours of November 9, 2022 in Grapevine, Texas at the age of 79. She was born August 31, 1943 in the town of Bacoachi, in Sonora, Mexico to Maria Rojas Vindiola and Lorenzo Tapia. She was a devoted sister, daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, friend, and more.

Ramona Tapia Wilson (“Carmen”) falleció inesperadamente muy temprano en la mañana del 9 de Noviembre de 2022 en Grapevine, Texas a la edad de 79 años. Nació el 31 de Agosto de 1943 en el pueblo de Bacoachi, en Sonora, México de Maria Rojas Vindiola y Lorenzo Tapia. Fue una devota hermana, hija, esposa, madre, abuela, bisabuela, amiga y más.

A few years after her first son was born in Mexico, she immigrated to the United States, where she met and married the love of her life, William A. Wilson. They were married on May 12, 1966, shortly before Bill went to Vietnam with the Air Force. They went on to have 4 additional children, living in California, Oklahoma, and Texas over the years, before settling in their family-built home in Colleyville, Texas in 1986 where she resided until her death. Ramona lived to see all her children flourish in their lives, careers, and relationships. Ramona was a committed Jehovah’s Witness for over 50 years and raised her children to love God. She was a loyal friend and family member who loved with a caring heart. Ramona enjoyed plants, flowers, music, collectibles, and most of all, cooking many amazing foods to share with her loved ones.

Unos años después del nacimiento de su primer hijo en México, emigró a los Estados Unidos, donde conoció y se casó con el amor de su vida, William A. Wilson. Se casaron el 12 de Mayo de 1966, poco antes de que Bill fuera a Vietnam con la Fuerza Aérea. Luego tuvieron 4 hijos adicionales, viviendo en California, Oklahoma y Texas a lo largo de los años, antes de establecerse en la casa construida por su familia en Colleyville, Texas en 1986, donde residió hasta su muerte. Ramona vivió para ver a todos sus hijos florecer en sus vidas, carreras y relaciones. Ramona fue Testigo de Jehová comprometida durante más de 50 años y crió a sus hijos para amar a Dios. Era una amiga leal y miembro de la familia que amaba con un corazón cariñoso. Preceding Ramona in death are her parents and grandparents; her husband Bill Wilson (in 2002); and her siblings Manuel Miguel del Cid, Miguel Manuel del Cid, Saturnino Rafael Tapia, and Rosa Elena Pacheco.

She is survived by her dear sister Maria Celsa Armenta, as well as her 5 children: son Hector Francisco Nogueda and his wife Michelle Nogueda, daughter Yvonne Carmen Wilson, son Al Wilson and his wife Kristina Wilson, daughter Elisabeth (Wilson) Bull and her husband David Bull; and son Steven A. Wilson and his wife Erin Wilson. She is also survived by her 8 deeply-loved grandchildren: Bethany Huston and her husband Matt Huston, Nicole Norton and her husband Ryan Norton, Dylan Rachelur, Ryan Rachelur, Ricky Tudor, Madeline Wilson, Marcella Wilson, and William Wilson, as well as 3 great-grandchildren Braylon, Aeiress, and Londyn Norton. She was also loved and adored by her numerous cousins, nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, and other extended family that will dearly miss her.

Le sobreviven su querida hermana María Celsa Armenta, así como sus 5 hijos: hijo Héctor Francisco Nogueda y su esposa Michelle Nogueda, hija Yvonne Carmen Wilson, hijo Al Wilson y su esposa Kristina Wilson, hija Elisabeth (Wilson) Bull y su esposo David Bull; y su hijo Steven A. Wilson y su esposa Erin Wilson. También le sobreviven sus 8 nietos profundamente amados: Bethany Huston y su esposo Matt Huston, Nicole Norton y su esposo Ryan Norton, Dylan Rachelur, Ryan Rachelur, Ricky Tudor, Madeline Wilson, Marcella Wilson y William Wilson, así como 3 bisnietos Braylon, Aeiress y Londyn Norton. También fue amada y adorada por sus numerosos primos, sobrinas y sobrinos, sobrinas nietas y sobrinos nietos, y otra familia extendida que la extrañará mucho.

A memorial service will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses at 490 Westpark Way in Bedford, Texas 76040 on Saturday, November 19, 2022 at 2 pm. The service will be broadcast by Zoom for those who are unable to attend in person. Flowers or plants should be sent to J.E. Foust & Son Funeral Directors at 523 S. Main Street, Grapevine, TX 76051. Donations can be made in her name to the American Heart Association, if desired.
