Rod was married to Shannon Jeffries for over 37 years, with two beautiful daughters, Samantha (Kyle) Vick and Katlyn Jeffries.
Rod is the son of Tom and Marilyn Jeffries.
Siblings include Angie (Mark) Layman, Julianna Brock, and Neelie (Jordan) Hooper.
Preceded in death by father Thomas Jeffries, stepmom Darlene Jeffries, Grandparents Edward and Dorothy Jeffries, Dale and Norma Collins.
Rod held a Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications and worked for both AT&T and Verizon Wireless in his career as a Network Engineer. In 2022 Rod started a side business of land clearing where he was given the opportunity to meet new people.
Since Rod was a little boy, he always loved to be outside. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and spending the morning outside with his wife at the dock on the lake with a cup of coffee in hand. Most of all, Rod enjoyed spending time with his family while playing board games and telling stories. Rod will be missed by so many that knew and loved him.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, September 7th, 2024, at The Bay Church, 20 Runaway Bay Drive, Runaway Bay, TX 76426. A Luncheon will follow at The Lion's Club, 1107 8th Street, Bridgeport, TX 76426, and all are invited to attend.
