Our dearest Susie passed away peacefully in the early morning on Sunday, November 20, 2022, after several years of battling cancer and other serious health challenges.
Susan was a pioneering woman in civil engineering. She graduated in 1980 from the University of Texas at Arlington, soon achieving Registered Professional Engineer in the State of Texas and Texas Public Works Association Certification as a Public Works Professional. She served 21 years in municipal civil engineering and 9 years with private sector engineering companies in North Texas.
Susan enjoyed travelling, camping and fishing, gardening, baking, board games, music, and being with family and friends. She was a joy to be with.
No one exceeds Susie’s generous, loving kindness. Her smile and sense of humor put everyone at ease. Susan married November 19, 1993, and they were together until the end. Her adoring family and close friends surrounded her with love at bedside until her last moments. She is survived also by loving sisters, nieces, nephews, aunts, an uncle, and cousins. Susie will be sorely missed. Rest in Peace, dear Susie.
