Ayako Saji was a vibrant soul, a tapestry of creativity, kindness, and quiet strength. Born in Queens, NY, she was the beloved daughter of Masaaki and Nobuko Saji and a devoted sister to Erika. She passed away on February 10, 2025, surrounded by family.
Ayako found her passion for art early, leading her to the Rhode Island School of Design, where she embraced her creativity and formed lifelong friendships. She built a beautiful life with her husband, Di, and their beloved daughter, Emi, pouring her heart into every moment of their journey together.
She believed in love, self-care, and the importance of cherishing one another. In her honor, let us carry forward her warmth and generosity.
A celebration of her life will be held on Sunday, February 23, 2025, at 2 p.m. at Riverside-Nassau North Chapels, 55 N Station Plaza, Great Neck, NY 11021
