HOSTEIN--Clifford J., 87 years old, died January 23, 2014 at his Manhattan home, surrounded by his loving family. He is survived by Rollie, his wife of 57 years; his children, Ellen and Jay Auster and Lisa Hostein and Joel Oshtry; and grandchildren, Zachary, Leah and Jeremy Auster, and Ezra and Sam Oshtry. A native of Pittsburgh, Pa., he spent his bachelor years in Manhattan and later moved his family to Barrington, R.I., when he went to work for Anderson Little Company. He worked his way up to become vice president in charge of ladies clothing for the national chain. After his retirement, he moved back to Manhattan. He was a beloved, devoted and generous husband, father, grandfather and friend who loved and lived life to the fullest. Everyone who met him was touched deeply by his kindness, spirit and humor. Funeral services will take place on Sunday,January 26, 2014, at 12 noon, at Riverside-Nassau North Chapels, 55 North Station Plaza (Opposite LIRR), Great Neck, NY. Interment to follow at Beth David Cemetery, Elmont, New York.
