I will miss my grandpa greatly. He would send me well written letters, emails and phone calls that always put a smile on my face. I will really miss those sweet and silly messages from him. I also enjoyed going to all of my grandpa’s favorite places to eat, where he would always assure me that I could have anything that I wanted on the menu.

My grandpa also really inspired me professionally. It was in his living room on his couch, talking with him and my dad, that I chose to become an engineer and made it a goal to work in the cosmetics industry, which my grandpa’s own father did. I will never forget that moment! I hope I continue to make him proud! Thank you grandpa for everything you did for me!

I have known Felix since 1985. We carpooled together from New York to our jobs in Connecticut.  We became great friends and shared many happy experiences together. These included fishing trips at Montauk Point and, in later years, meeting in Manhattan for events and dinner. He was a wealth of information on the city. Felix was one of the nicest and kindest persons you could ever meet.  His was an amazing life story, and I know he had a positive influence on so many people. I really regret the passing of a very special friend.

The obituary  left out that my father leaves behind my brother,  his oldest, Gary Steel. Gary’s kids, Morgan, and Adam. And Adams children - my dad’s great grandchildren, Ari and Aila. 
My dad also left behind his sister Dinah. 
My Dad also  left behind myself, Alyson. And his grandchildren from me, Jesse and Alexis.

Saddened to hear of Felix’s passing . He was a beautiful neighbor, a kind heart.  We enjoyed speaking with each other on our walks around neighborhood.   He will be missed.

Felix was generous and warm; he fostered a strong sense of community, making each interaction a cherished moment.
