GOLDSTOCK – Herbert Mayer, 98, of Roslyn, NY, passed away peacefully on March 28, 2013. He and Evelyn, his wife of 67 years, had a storybook marriage. He was the beloved father of Ron and Judy; grandfather of Deborah, Jenny, Jaime, and Lisa, who together gave them 9 great-grandchildren; and father-in-law of Judi Friedman and Guy Tower. He was a gifted story teller with an extraordinarily kind, generous, and playful soul that earned him adoring friends from multiple generations. A service will be held Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at Atria at Roslyn Harbor, 100 Landing Rd., Roslyn, NY. Friends and family are also welcome Monday between 5:00 and 8:00 p.m. at the home of Ron Goldstock in Larchmont, NY. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Herbert and Evelyn Goldstock Scholarship Fund at Beyond the Boroughs, 282 Katonah Ave, [Suite 122], Katonah, NY 10536.
