Leonard J. Weiss, father, grandfather and businessman, passed away at his Long Island home on October 10, 2021. He was 94. Born in Brooklyn to an Orthodox Jewish family, Leonard entered the New York State Maritime Academy to pursue a new life experience. In March, 1950, Len reported to the Norfolk Naval Base, just as the Korean War was starting, for the US Navy. In 1952, Len was set up on a blind date with Marcia. This turned out to be love at first sight, marking the beginning of a sixty year journey. Len's greatest passions in life included his grandchildren, his children, his business, the opera and his daily workouts. Len is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Freddi and Harvey Kadden, son and daughter-in-law Jonathan and Elisabeth Weiss, his grand children, Zachary, Jenny, Joshua, Daniel, Jared and Aaron. Len fought until the end so he could meet his great granddaughter Maxy Sloan. May his memory be a blessing.
