Philippe Perahia Haussmann

It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Philippe Haussmann on August 20, 2024, at the age of 29. Philippe was born on December 12, 1994, to Joann Perahia and Claude Haussmann. He was an identical twin to Alexandre Haussmann.

Phil was raised in Port Washington, where he spread his compassion and level demeanor, starting in the halls of Weber Middle School and continuing in Schreiber High School. He became a rock in the community. During his high school years, he and his twin brother Alex pursued their acting career together and became known for their roles in the film “2012”.

After he found success in film, Philippe turned his focus to more earthly pursuits. He received a Bachelor of Science at Rochester Institute of Technology, where he formed a large network of friends and allies who grew to love and count on Phil’s calming aura and affable demeanor. He maintained these bonds even as he moved to New York to pursue his goals.

As he progressed in life, he took on unique and complex hobbies such as flying, shooting sports, and bushcraft. He also followed his passion for computers which led him to become a Network Development Lead for Laurion Capital Management.

His life was tragically cut short on August 20, 2024 while riding his motorcycle to the office. He will be irreplaceable and sorely missed by his friends, coworkers, and fellow enthusiasts. He was in the process of building an impressive legacy on a foundation of empathy, patience, and consistency. Although Philippe will be sorely missed, his presence will continue to be felt by everyone whose lives he has touched.
