Amanda was an avid golfer and bridge player. She was also an accomplished pianist, who not only could read music but also played by ear. Even in her later years, she could hear a song on the radio just once and then sit down and play it.
She was proceeded in death by her devoted and loving husband, retired Major John A. Davis, USMC, her brother Wade Alderson, Jr. and her sisters Pauline Alderson and Hilda Tune. She is survived by her daughter Cynthia (Jim) Schumacher, grandsons: Philippe (Stefanie) Petit and Christopher (April) Petit, one great-grandson Lucas, one great-granddaughter Riley and many beloved nieces and nephews.
