Angeline (Angie) Pauline Nieters was born in St. Cloud, Minnesota, to Frank and Anna (Truitwin) Sobieck. She attended St. John Cantius Catholic High School.
During World War II she met Mr. Ted Nieters and on November 11, 1944, they were married in Jefferson City, Missouri. They lived in St. Cloud after his discharge from the service. In May 1950 they moved from St. Cloud to Fort Collins, Colorado. Moving to Greeley, Colorado in 1961 when Mr. Nieters purchases the Lincoln Mercury Dealership.
Mrs. Nieters worked for the Denver Dry and Skow Photography after she raised her children. She enjoyed doing crafts with her daughters and did this for 26 years. She also enjoyed playing cards and reading. She received much enjoyment from her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
Survivors include six daughters. Sharon Diesburg and husband Terry of Longmont, Mary Lou Smith of Greeley, Donna Michalik and husband Don of Kersey, Susan Foster of Greeley, Debbie Babb and husband Rick of Johnstown, and Geri Landwehr and husband Bill of Greeley; nineteen grandchildren, forty great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. Also her sister, La Verne Schaefer of Albuquerque, New Mexico and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Ted Nieters, her parents, her brother Rev. Elmer J. Sobieck, a daughter Kathryn Ann, infant sons Teddy and Tommy, grandson Jesse Michalik and son-in-law Jack Smith.
A visitation for Angeline will be held Thursday, August 25, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Stoddard Funeral Home, 3205 W. 28th Street, Greeley, Colorado 80634. A recitation of the rosary will occur Thursday, August 25, 2022 at 6:00 PM, 3205 W. 28th Street, Greeley, Colorado 80634. A mass of christian burial will occur Wednesday, August 31, 2022 at 11:00 AM at St. Mary Catholic Church, 2222 23rd Avenue, Greeley, Colorado 80631. A committal service will occur Wednesday, August 31, 2022 at 12:00 PM at Sunset Memorial Gardens, 3400 W. 28th Street, Greeley, Colorado 80634.
