

Ann M. Gemelke, 68, of Greeley, passed at her home on October 27, 2015. Ann was born in Derry, Ireland on December 13, 1946 to James Edward and Margaret (McCloskey) McCourt. She married Jack Gemelke on August 17, 1968 in Derry, Ireland.
A devoted Navy wife she and Jack travelled and lived in Washington D.C, San Diego, Spain, Ireland and then finally in Greeley in 1991. Ann worked at Hardees downtown for 10 years as a hostess. It was here she impacted many lives with her Irish spirit and made many friends. Although a longtime resident of Greeley Ann’s heart belonged to Ireland.
Family was her life. She enjoyed taking care of her children and grandchildren, never missing an event that they were involved with. Ann never met a stranger. She gave with all her heart. She enjoyed cooking, travel, entertaining and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her husband Jack Gemelke, Greeley; son Jimmy (Yashica) Gemelke, Greeley; daughters Debbie (Peter) Nixon, Julie (Nick) Haney, and Erin Gemelke, all of Greeley; siblings Tony, Jimmy, Patrick, and Eamonn, all of Derry, Ireland; and her grandchildren, Pete, Brandon, Austen (Darianne), Andrew, Gracie and Mara.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers Harry and Andrew McCourt; and daughter Ann-Marie
A viewing and traditional Irish wake will be held from 4-7:00 P.M. Friday, October 30, 2015 at the Gemelke home, 2900 12th Street, Greeley, Colorado. Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday October 31, 2015 at the Allnutt Macy Chapel.
