

Arlene lived more of her younger years in Pueblo, where she graduated from high school. She then attended Colorado State Teacher’s College (UNC), where she met Carroll Bishop. Her and Carroll were married on November 20, 1949 in Pueblo. After their marriage, they worked as dairy farmers in the Gill area. Their farm was east of Barnesville. They were members of Mountain Empire Dairyman's Association and the Farmer’s Union. They retired from farming after 31 years in 1985. They then operated the Super 8 Motel in Limon for seven years, where they made their home. They moved to Greeley and resided at Bonell Good Samaritan Center for several years. Carroll died on September 17, 2007.
Arlene was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Greeley and a former member of the Limon United Methodist Church.
Arlene is survived by her sons, Alan Bishop (Carol Ann) of Greeley and Gary Bishop (Cheryl) of Eaton; sister, Lanore Bramen (Warren) of Lake Placid, Florida; four grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband.
Visitation will be from 3:00-5:00 p.m. Sunday, April 29, 2018 at Stoddard Funeral Home. Private family service will be held at Linn Grove Cemetery.
