He passed into Gods everlasting light at North Colorado Medical Center due to complications from Parkinson’s Disease.
Bott grew up on farms in the Wetmore and Netawaka areas in Kansas. In addition to farming chores he assisted his father logging black walnut lumber. After graduating in 1944 he enlisted in the U.S. Army where he served in occupied Japan. Upon discharge he went to work for Union Pacific Railroad where he worked for 42 years and retired in 1987. It was while he was working for Union Pacific in Hugo Colorado that he met the love of his life, Anna Mae Madison and was married for 50 Years. Bott is survived by 4 children, Gene (Donna) Bottenberg of Eaton, Co, Vicki Bottenberg of Greeley, Co., Cheri (Rob) Kern of Greeley Co., Melanie (Robert) Faulkner of Greeley, Co. Grandkids, Jessie (Aaron) Kern, Nathan Bottenberg, Ashlee Gray, Devin Gray, Jeran Kern, Anna Faulkner and Great Grandchildren Keylee, Kendree and Kamzee Kern and, Silas Bottenberg. Bott was preceded in death by His Parents, Brothers, (Keith and Kenneth Bottenberg) and wife Anna.
