Carolina G Torres

Carolina was raised in Laredo and then settled in Colorado in 1961. She was a field worker until she married David Torres. She worked for District 6 as a crossing guard for most of her life. She also worked at Northern Colorado Catholic Community Services, volunteered with VISTA and with District 6 from 1968 to 1980. Carolina was a member of the Holy Family Society and Parish Council at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church.

Carolina was always there for her family. She taught them to be responsible and she always gave unconditional support. Her love for her children and grandchildren was above all else.

Carolina is survived by her daughters, Irene (Dan) Gonzales and Sophia (Joseph) Alexshonis; son, David Torres; brothers, Jose Gonzalez and Johnny Gonzalez; grandchildren, Christopher and Patrick Alexshonis, Randy, David, Justin and Carl Torres, Quinten Hunteman and Bradley (Rose) and Brian (Tatiana) Gonzales; four great-grandchildren, Justice and Siallya Torres and Jaxx and Ruben Gonzales and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, David Torres, son, Gerald Angel, sisters, Elizabeth Herrera and Sophia Irene Gonzalez and brothers, Jesse Gonzalez, Julian Estrada and Severiano Gonzalez

Recitation of the Rosary will be at 4:00 p.m. Monday, November 7, 2016 followed by visitation from 4:30-7:00 p.m. both at Stoddard Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, November 8, 2016 at St. Peter’s Catholic Church. Interment Linn Grove Cemetery.
