

She married Daniel Lawson on October 1, 1994, at the Platteville Methodist Church.
She was raised in Platteville, graduated from Valley High School in Gilcrest and has lived in Platteville for the last 66 years. Cassie was in partnership with her brother Eric, and Unified Screening and Crushing. Together Cassie and Eric owned and operated Colorado Wire and Cloth in Platteville.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Platteville, President of Rotary for three years, and a well-known donor of many local community organizations and events. Cassie liked reading and watching all college and NFL football games, no matter what team was playing.
She had been a season ticket holder at both the University of Colorado and the Denver Broncos for over 50 years. She also enjoyed racing down I-25 in her cherry red Chevrolet Camaro.
Cassie is survived by her husband Dan Lawson; two sisters and brothers-in-laws, Carrie and Bob Brown of Fort Collins, Stacey and Karl Froelich of Berthoud; a brother and sister-in-law, Eric and Julia Herren of Platteville. As well as her two nieces, four nephews, and one great niece, whom she all loved very much.
A celebration of Cassie's life will be held at the First United Methodist Church in Platteville, Colorado, on Saturday, February 7th, 2026, at 10:30 a.m.
