

Charles “Chuck” W. Meyers, 91, of Greeley, passed away April 19, 2018 in Greeley. Charles was born in Watertown, SD on August 5, 1926 to Jacob William and Jennie (Taube) Meyers, and was the twelfth of thirteen children.
He served in the United States Army, 1944-1946, European Theatre of Operations and earned a Purple Heart in WWII.
He attended South Dakota School of Mines and Technology, earning a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering in 1950.
He married Gladys Arlene (Jackie) Kasal on August 15, 1953, enjoying 60 plus years of life with her.
Mr. Meyers was a registered professional engineer in thirteen states, and spent his entire professional career at Miner & Miner Consulting Engineers, beginning in 1950. In 1969, he became president of the Greeley firm, retiring in 2002.
His many achievements and advisories included director of Hydraulics Unlimited, director of Western Federal Savings and Loan, board of directors for North Colorado Medical Center, state vice-president of American Consulting Engineers Council, president of the Regional Chapter of National Society of Professional Engineers, president of Greeley Kiwanis Club, Greeley Independence Stampede Committee member and chairman.
Charles was devoted to his family. He also raised Morgan horses and Angus Cattle.
He is survived by his daughters, Karie Meyers (Chris Morrison) of Tucson, AZ, Jane (John) Moderwell of Libertyville, IL; sons, Jeff Meyers (Erika Murphy) of Steamboat Springs, CO, Roger (Dawn) Meyers of Eaton, CO; grandchildren, Jeff Meyers (Danielle) Homer, AK, Mollie (Nick) Beleiciks, Salem, OR, Libby Boroson (Brian Pepper) Los Angeles, CA, Ethan Boroson, Los Angeles, CA, Luke (Anna) Moderwell, Cincinnati, OH, Nathan Moderwell, Seattle, WA, Elise, Jesse and Noah Moderwell, Libertyville, IL, and Taylor Meyers, Salem, OR; great grandchildren, Harvey, Pearl and Opal Beleiciks, Salem, OR, Juniper, Moses and Indigo Moderwell, Cincinnati, OH, and Lev Meyers, Homer, AK.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Gladys, his parents and his twelve brothers and sisters.
Service will be at 11:00 A.M., Tuesday April 24, 2018 at Allnutt Macy Chapel with a reception to follow in the Allnutt Reception Center. Interment to follow after the reception at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
