Curtis G. Kern

Curtis Kern of Platteville passed away at the age of 62 on October 22, 2015 due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was born in Greeley, CO on June 7, 1953 to Imogene and William F. Kern Jr.

Curtis enjoyed farming and farmed on the family farm with his father and grandfather until the early 1990's. He attended schools in Weld County and graduated from Valley High School in 1973.

Curtis had a passion for cars and loved working in the yard and spending time with friends and family. Many people knew him but few understood him! He will be greatly missed by all he knew.

Curis is survived by his daughter Carisa Foster of Platteville (grandchildren Peighton, Raelee, and Saige); sisters Sheila Patterson of Loveland and Sonya Johnson of Texas; Nieces Nicole Lawrence of Ft Collins, Amber Sirio of Evans and Jessica and Cassie Johnson of Texas; 5 great nephews; 1 great niece; and numerous friends who were family to him as well.

He was preceded in death by his parents Imogene and William F. Kern Jr.; grandparents Melvina and William F. Kern; and brother in law Larry Johnson.

A Memorial service will be held in Curtis’s honor at 10:30 A.M. on Monday, November 9, 2015 at the Allnutt Macy Chapel. Private family inurnment at Mizpah Cemetery.
