

Cynthia Ann McGehee, 61, of Greeley, died Monday, August 20, 2012 at North Colorado Medical Center, Hospice unit. She was born on May 14, 1951 in Cheyenne, Wyoming to Billy and Barbara (Woolsey) Williams.
Cynthia was raised and educated in Cheyenne. She graduated from East High School in 1969. On June 28, 1986 she married Raymond McGehee at the Greeley Christian Church. After they married, Cynthia and Raymond lived in various communities in Weld County. They have lived in Greeley for the past 11 years. Cynthia was a caregiver, most recently for Home Instead Senior Care, where she was voted Care Giver of the month in November 2008. She worked in nursing homes in California, Wyoming and Colorado. Both of her grandmothers had said that care giving was her calling in life because she wanted to help people feel better. She said the best part of her day was walking in and having her clients smile. She knew they were happy to see her. Cynthia enjoyed plastic canvas cross-stitching, making different things like dollhouses or trucks and socializing on the computer. She loved her dogs, Peewee and Charlie.
Cynthia is survived by her husband Raymond; a son, Edward (Kymberly) Miller of McDonald, Pennsylvania; her parents, Billy and Barbara Williams of Cheyenne, Wyoming; three sisters, Janet DeGroat, Cheryl Porter and Sharon (Al) Auzqui all of Cheyenne; one brother, David (Wendy) Williams of Gainesville, Virginia and three grandchildren, Dakota, Cole and Padric.
She was preceded in death by her son, Stephen James Knox, Jr., who died on April 23, 2012, and her grandparents, Guy & Ruby Williams, and Kenneth and Kristine Woolsey.
Memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Northwoods Presbyterian Church, 4723 Griffith Avenue, Cheyenne, Wyoming 82009.
