

Daniel “Rusty” Gruppo, 63, of Loveland, CO, passed away at his home on June 26, 2017. Rusty was born on November 10, 1953 to Daniel and Gloria (Armillie) Gruppo in Cleveland, Ohio. He grew up in Seven Hills, Ohio and attended Normandy High School, graduating class of 1972. He married his high school sweetheart, Roni Graber, on May 17, 1974. Together they had one daughter, Danita. The family moved to Colorado in 1987. Rusty was the proprietor of Front Range DVD, a video transfer service.
Rusty enjoyed hiking, camping, and spending time in the mountains taking pictures and making videos. He lived for his grandchildren and was a jack-of-all trades at home. Rusty had many friends and made new friends with each person he met. His kindness, giving spirit, and infectious, zany sense of humor will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
Rusty is survived by his wife, Veronica Gruppo of Loveland, CO, his daughter Danita and her husband John of Frederick, CO, Rusty’s sister Deborah Gruppo of Lakewood, OH, grandchildren Jared, Johnathon, and Lauren, and nieces Danette, Kelley (Kevin), Samantha, Michaella; nephew Joseph; grandnephews Justin and Damon; grandniece Norah; great-grandnieces Gloria and Meira. Rusty's extended family included Roni's mother Cecelia and Roni's sisters Janice (Tom), Patricia (Dave), and Kathleen (Joseph). Rusty is preceded in death by his parents, Daniel and Gloria, and his father-in-law, Frank.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, July 8, 2017, at 11 am with a visitation an hour prior and a reception immediately following the service, all at Allnutt Funeral Service at 2100 N.
