Deborah (Deby) graduated from Valley High School in 1974. She worked for the Dept. of Human Services for over 15 years until she retired in 2018 after battling Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma, receiving a stem cell transplant and going into remission.
Deby loved caring for her grandchildren and adored them all. She enjoyed crocheting and baking banana nut bread, a recipe passed down from her father. Deby was a giver and gave to others until the very end. She donated to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and St. Jude's. She also purchased pizzas for her nurses at UCHealth Cancer Care and Hematology Clinic. She would spend everyday with them and they became like family. She also gave beaded bracelets to patients/their family members when exchanging cancer stories. Deby left a list of nurses' names to give the nurses bracelets as a way to thank them for all they did for her.
She is survived by her son, Jose (Jennifer) Dominguez, daughters Marisol (Oscar) Dominguez and Anjelica (Keith) Cardona; brother, Ben (Debra) Zamora, and sisters Peggy (Lee) Molina, Lorene Zamora, Rosanne (Larry) Madrid and Eleanor Zamora. Her eight grandchildren; Esperanza and Adrian Dominguez, Teairra and Xaylia Cardona, Lilia and Isabella De La Mora, Marcielo and SantyAnn Godinez.
She was preceded in death by her parents and great-grandmother Lorenza Castañeda.
