Dolores Ellen Beierbach, age 89, passed away peacefully on October 29, 2025. She was born on December 2, 1935, in Seward, Nebraska, to Walter and Ruth (Strinz) Davis, and grew up alongside her three brothers. Dolores was known throughout her life for her selfless, gentle, and generous spirit — qualities that touched everyone who knew her.
Dolores was hard-working, having spent many years as a manager of The Flower Shacks in Greeley where she worked her floral design skills and love for plants before doing the "demos" at local grocery stores. She also enjoyed her work at the Hallmark store and the Russell Stover Chocolate Factory. She later worked alongside her family at the Fleece Factory of the Rockies.
Deeply committed to her community, Dolores also volunteered at the Bargain Box through the Assistance League of Greeley, as well as the Union Colony Civic Center. Her warmth and friendliness shone through, and her joyful presence will be fondly remembered by the any lives she touched.
On July 22, 1963, Dolores married the love of her life, Donald Beierbach, at the First United Methodist Church in Greeley, Colorado. Together, they raised their daughter, Patricia, and shared many cherished years until Don’s passing in October 2012.
Dolores’s greatest joy was her family. She is lovingly remembered by her grandchildren, Todd and Rhonda Amen; her great-grandchildren, Cheyenne Reetz (DJ) and Gavin Amen (Dominique); her great-great-granddaughter, Sophie; and extended family members, Mary Scherer Eikenhorst and Yvonne Davis Dahl.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Beierbach; her parents, Walter and Ruth Davis; her daughter, Patricia Frick; and her brothers, Walter Davis Jr., Roger Davis, and Everett Davis.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, November 14, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Gardens, 3400 W. 28th Street, Greeley, Colorado.
Memorial contributions may be made in Dolores’s memory to the Bargain Box, in care of Stoddard Funeral Home.
Dolores will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered for her kindness, steadfast faith, and the gentle grace with which she lived her life.
