Donna Marie Wells

With profound love and heartfelt sorrow, we announce the passing of Donna Marie Wells, who departed this life on July 1, 2025, at the age of 80 in Greeley, Colorado. A beloved mother, grandmother, friend, and member of her community, Donna’s warmth, generosity, and unwavering strength touched the lives of all who knew her.

Donna grew up in California and Colorado. She graduated high school, married Jerry A. Wells in 1963. They had two children, Jerry Lee Wells and Linda Marie Wells (Shubert). They divorced after 16 years of marriage.

Donna lived a life full of compassion, and resilience. She was a devoted family woman, known for her nurturing spirit, infectious laugh, and deep sense of faith. She would offer a comforting word when it was most needed.

Throughout her life, Donna dedicated herself to helping others. Whether through her work, her volunteer efforts, or her quiet acts of kindness, she embodied the true meaning of grace and generosity.

Donna became a cosmetologist. She also worked at Valley Lab in Boulder and was an administrative assistant in Berthoud. Her favorite job was babysitting her great grandchildren. She was a woman of God. There was not anyone that would pass her by that she wouldn’t pray for.

She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and spending time in the mountains, fishing, and camping.

Donna is reunited with her mother Grace, father Clarence, stepfather Harry Weber, brother Ron Bleyenberg, brother Larry Bleyenberg, and many aunts and uncles.

Donna is survived by her son Jerry Lee Wells (Lisa), daughter Linda Marie Shubert (Don), grandchildren - Crystal (Nick), Tiffany (Chad), Cassandra (Bryce), Manuel (April), Dixie (Andy), Heath, Nicole, Brittany (Jesse), and Jake (Sarah), and 21 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held August 9th, 2025, 11 am – 1 pm at the La Salle Community Center 101 Todd Ave, LaSalle, CO 80645. We will begin the celebration at 11 pm with a short introduction and then we will share memories.

Though she may no longer walk beside us, Donna Marie Wells lives on in the hearts of all who had the privilege to know and love her.
