Doris Montoya Trujillo

Doris was a very good cook and a homemaker. She sewed blankets for all her children. Doris loved making tortillas for all her grandchildren. She was very involved with the Holy family association and the Catholic Church. She was a member of the Senior Citizens of Milliken.

In 1942, Doris married the love of her life, Louis Trujillo. They were married 72 years. They traveled from Wyoming to Colorado and settled in Milliken for 60 years. During those years, they had 11 children, six daughters and five sons.

Doris is survived by her husband, Louis Trujillo; children, Danny (Jane), Priscilla (Fred), Billy (Margie), Terri (Jerry), Darlene, Andrew (Michelle), Gerri (Tim), Mark (Thea) and numerous grand, great-grand and great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a brother, Luciano Chavez and sister, Francis Cordova.

She was preceded in death by her son, Leroy Trujillo, daughters, Louise Moreno and Patty Trujillo, two sisters, Elmira Chavez and Josie Serrano and her parents.

Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Monday, May 4, 2015 at Stoddard Funeral Home. Recitation of the Rosary will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 5, 2015 followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. both at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. Interment Johnstown Cemetery.
