Dorothy Bishop Daum, 73, passed away peacefully Saturday, October 29, 2016, at NCMC in Greeley, CO. Born March 25, 1943, Corinth, MS, to Preston and Hazel (Whitehurst) Bishop, she graduated Kingsbury High in Memphis, TN. She married Rex Haire 1962, in Marion, AR. She remarried Charles Daum Dec. 31, 1993 in Martin, TN. With support of her family and friends, she earned the Master of Science in Social Work from UT Knoxville. Championing the causes of equal rights, cultural acceptance, child welfare, and the Christian faith, Dorothy, worked 23 years as a family and child therapist at Pathways, Martin, TN and Peak Wellness Center Cheyenne, WY.
Preceded in death by parents, and her brother Johnny, she is survived by husband Charles; sons Chris and Benjamin Haire; stepchildren Charles (Kristina) and Chad Daum; brothers Howard (Marcia), Harry (Sandy) Bishop; and grandchildren Sydney, Cole, William and Joseph.
Family, friends, and lives touched by Dorothy are invited to celebrate her life at the First United Methodist Church, 917 10th Ave Greeley, CO, at 1 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 4.
