

Dorothy was a photographer, starting with her father at Nash Studios in the forties, and continuing as campus photographer for Hastings College in Nebraska, ‘53 and ’54. Upon her marriage to Lee D. Rhoads, she had four children, and was active in church and scouting activities. In the 1976 she followed Lee to Rough Rock, AZ on the Navajo reservation where he was a teacher, and she served as postmistress for a time. At Lee’s retirement, they volunteered as campground hosts for about ten years at Pawnee National Grasslands, located near Briggsdale, CO.)
She is survived by her children, Victoria Simpson, Russell Rhoads, Barbara Funk, and siblings, Rev. Hugh Nash, Alice Kjorness, Carol Bentley, and Eva Nash, 7 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Lee D. Rhoads, and daughter, Kathleen Rhoads.
A memorial celebrating her life will be August 18th, at 2:30 p.m. at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 1709 W. Elizabeth St., Ft. Collins, CO. In lieu of flowers, Dorothy requested donations be given to the Food Bank of Larimer County, in care of Allnutt Funeral Service, 650 W. Drake Road, Fort Collins, Colorado 80526.
