

Rene spent 50 years of her life in Greeley, Colorado, and later resided in Fort Collins, Colorado; Washington, D.C.; and El Paso, Texas.
Rene is survived by her two sons, four grandchildren, a step-granddaughter, and a step-great-granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her four sisters.
Throughout her active and industrious life, Rene held various jobs, working part-time while raising her family and continuing to work well past the age of 80. Her roles included telephone operator, floral designer, bookkeeper, cashier, and marketing assistant.
Rene had a passion for golf and tennis, which she enjoyed playing late into her life. She was also skilled in arts and crafts, particularly working with stained glass. Her creativity and talent were evident in all her endeavors.
Rene enjoyed traveling and treasured her trips throughout the US, Canada, Mexico, New Zealand, Australia, Spain, Sweden, the Caribbean, and the Philippines as shared experiences.
Beyond her immediate family, Rene maintained strong bonds with her nieces, nephews, and a wide circle of friends. Her energy and compassion were reflected in her support for many people through illness and significant life events. Rene's generosity and kindness made her a dear friend to many.
Rene's vibrant spirit and dedication to helping others will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
A Celebration of life for Dorothy (Rene) will be held Monday, July 1, 2024 at 4:00 PM at Allnutt Funeral Service - Macy Chapel, 6521 W. 20th Street, Greeley, Colorado 80634.
