

Ernesto Arispe Gauna, AKA Ernie G, Chi Hua Hua, Jr., Brother, Unk and Big Kahuna, 59, passed away June 7, 2020 in Greeley, Colorado. He was born July 12, 1961 in Sonora, Texas to Ernesto Sr. and Elisa Gauna.
In 1962, Ernesto moved to Colorado, attending Jefferson Elementary, John Evans Jr. High and Greeley West High School, where he graduated in 1979. Ernesto then attended Aims Community College to pursue and graduate with a degree in Computer Technology.
Though his area of study was in computer tech, in which he applied his degree to various jobs in Northern Colorado, Ernesto was a man of many talents. Other jobs included working as a bouncer and bodyguard, enjoying summers working at the Farmers Market with Jen, and assisting with family sheep shearing. Hobbies of his were computer related, helping others in reviving their failing computers whenever called upon. His skills were also applied to building remote controlled cars and drones, another favorite pastime. Despite his ailments, Ernesto’s passion and support was directed towards his nieces and nephews, never missing a volleyball or baseball game or a concert in which they would play.
Ernesto is survived by his parents, Elisa Gauna of Greeley and Ernesto Gauna (Laurie) of Loveland; his sisters, Anita Fisher (Steve), Hope Sierra (Alfred), and Yvette Tapia (Bo); and his nieces and nephews, Joshua, Atienne, Veronica, Izzy, Dimas, Isiah, and Athena. He is also survived by 9 great-nieces and nephews, as well as several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his close friend, Leah, as well as his paternal and maternal grandparents.
