

Florinda “Flo” Maria Cardenas, 74, of Greeley, passed away Oct. 4, 2017. Flo was born April 3, 1943, in Trinidad to John and Annie Griego. Flo resided in the Keener and Kersey area where she attended Platte Valley Schools.In 1958 she met a handsome young man by the name of Toby Cardenas. They had gotten married on Oct. 10, 1959, and together purchased their restaurant The Kersey Pool Hall. They have dedicated 30 plus years into their business, and still very successful. Flo was sadly diagnosed with diabetes, and battled the disease for many years. She passed away peacefully surrounded by all her family. She enjoyed spending time with family, cooking, garage sales, oldies music, old western movies, and watching her favorite team the Colorado Rockies.
Flo is survived by husband, Toby; three sons, Toby Jr. (Treasa) Cardenas, Lupe (Robyn) Cardenas and Dino (Verna) Cardenas, all of Greeley; three daughters, Hazel Cardenas, of Greeley, Marie (Greg) Scott of Liberal Kan. and Tommi Cardenas Hora (Ron) of Eaton; sister, Jennie Marquez of Greeley; two brothers, David Griego of Arkansas and Daniel Griego of Greeley; 13 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter.
Proceeded in death are her parents, John and Annie Griego; brother, Jake, Ben, and Richard Griego; sister, Mary Griego all of Greeley; and grandson, Jonathan David (J.D.) Scott of Liberal, Kan.

Visitations was 5-7 p.m., and Rosary at 7 p.m., Monday, Oct. 9, 2017, at the Stoddard Funeral Home, Greeley. Mass of Christian Burial 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 10, 2017, at Saint Peter’s Catholic Church, 915 12th St., Greeley.
