

Freida Rosin, 80, of Greeley, died Monday, April 29, 2013 at Swedish Medical Center in Englewood. Freida was born on January 1, 1933 at the family home near Milliken to George and Anna Margaret (Bernhardt) Kammerzell.
Freida grew up in Milliken and graduated from Milliken High School in 1951. After graduation, she worked at First Industrial Bank, Greeley and attended Greeley Business College. She also did home health care for many years. On August 12, 1956, she married Reinhard Rosin at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Greeley.
Freida was a longtime member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, a Tabitha Circle leader, a member of American Historical Society of Germans from Russia and was very active with Women of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America. She was named Volunteer of the Month by RSVP. She was active in the church bazaars making noodles, and the Christmas German Song Fest at the church for many years. Freida was a self-less volunteer, who liked to work behind the scenes.
She loved to garden, raising roses, making noodles and many German dishes. She also enjoyed making home crafts, many of which she gave away. Above all was the love and devotion for her family.
Freida is survived by her sons, Paul Rosin of Ellis, Kansas and Eric Rosin and his wife, Annie of Greeley and a grandson, Jesiah Rosin of Greeley.
She was preceded in death by her husband, who died on August 3, 2012, two sisters, Annie Wiederspahn and Marie Stroh and brothers, Carl, George, Fred, John and twin brothers, Henry and Jake.
A Celebration of Life will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church. Interment will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
