Gary came to Greeley with his family in 1961. He attended Jackson, Brentwood, John Evans and graduated from Greeley Central High School in 1975. After graduation he attended Aims Community College, then Denver University for his Bachelor of Science. He later earned his Master of Science in Electronic Engineering at DU.
He worked for many years at Hewlitt Packard in Colorado Springs and Fort Collins. He was currently working for Avago in Fort Collins as an electronics engineer.
Gary was very outgoing and friendly. As a youngster, he enjoyed fishing and camping. He loved to play golf and enjoyed traveling with his work.
Gary is survived by his mother, Wilma Wetlaufer of Greeley; sister, Deanna Scamman (Gary) of Gautier, Mississippi; brother, Timothy Wetlaufer of Greeley; one niece; three nephews and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, sister, Janine Primus and a nephew, Geoffrey Scamman.
Memorial service will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 3, 2015 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 501 49th Avenue, Greeley.
