

George was born February 3, 1934, to Howard and Betty Glenn in Fort Morgan, the eldest of four children. After school, George worked on the family ranch. In 1957, George enlisted in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Alaska. He was Honorably Discharged in 1960.
He was married to Marilyn Joan Freauff on July 1, 1959 in Fort Worth, Texas. They made the move to Roggen in 1960 where they raised two sons.
George was a member of the Southeast Weld Fire Protection District for 20 years and the Fort Morgan Elks & The American Legion Post 180 for over 50 years.
George is preceded in death by his wife, Marilyn; parents, Howard and Betty; brother-in-law, Bud Hefley; sister-in-law, JoEllen Glenn; as well as many beloved pets. George is survived by his sons, Justin (Lori) Glenn of Roggen and Jay Glenn of Roggen; granddaughter, Jordyn (Zane) Mitchell of Hudson; siblings, Kay Hefley of Texline, TX, Sally (Hugh) of Snowmass, CO, and John Glenn of Fort Morgan, as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews.
A graveside service for George will be held Thursday, June 19, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at Sunset Memorial Gardens; 3400 W. 28th Street in Greeley, CO 80634. Following the graveside service, there will be a lunch at the American Legion Post 180, 595 Railroad Ave., Keenesburg, Colorado.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Legion Post 180 or the Ladies Auxiliary Post 180, 595 Railroad Ave., Keenesburg, Colorado, 80643, in care of Stoddard Funeral Home.
