George Sifuentez

George Margarito Sifuentez, 52, of Evans, died November 29, 2012 at North Colorado Medical Center. He was born February 22, 1960 to Donacino and Carmen (Hernandez) Sifuentez in Gaines County, Texas. He moved with his family to Wyoming, and then settled in Colorado living in Fort Morgan, Weldona then Greeley. George married Susan Hughley on October 15, 1979 in Greeley. He was raised in the Catholic faith.

George loved fishing and playing with his grandchildren. He enjoyed watching old westerns and the Andy Griffith Show.

He worked in the oil fields, working up to the position of driller. He later worked for Pride Services in Fort Collins. For the past 8 years, George worked at North Colorado Medical Center for environmental services where he was a coordinator. He was hard working providing for his family. George was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. He was loved by all he met because he was such a nice man. He was always willing to help those in need.

George is survived by his wife Sue of Evans; daughters Melanie Sifuentez (Carlos Mascarenas) and Cece Morales all of Greeley; son Tyler Sifuentez of Evans; mother Carmen Sifuentez of Greeley; sisters Rose Othoudt (Tom) of Renton, Washington, Anita Almeda (Hector)of Greeley, San Juana Sifuentez of Greeley, Aurora Alvarado (Carlos) of Roggen and Lidia Morales of Garden City, Norma Sifuentez of Greeley, Lori Hernandez (Abel) of Greeley; brothers Rudy Sifuentez (Guadalupe) of Artesia, New Mexico, Fred Sifuentez (Emma) of Greeley, Fernando Sifuentez (Josie) of Newark, Texas and Tony Rhea of Greeley; grandchildren Dionne Dominguez, Emilee Mascarenas and Carlos “C.J.” Mascarenas; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father and a brother Ernesto.

Visitation will be Sunday from 2:00 – 5:00 p.m. at Stoddard Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be at 10:30 a.m., Monday at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
