

Glenda graduated from high school in Eugene, OR. She earned her B.A. in French at the University of Oregon, later earning her Masters and PhD from the University of Illinois, Champagne, Urbana. She went on to become a Professor of Language teaching French at UNC for 35 years. As a devoted French Professor, Glenda was involved in leading groups of students on studies abroad.
Glenda attended the United Methodist Churchs in Estes Park and Greeley. In 1991 she established and ran the Mountain Haven Inn and Cottages in Estes Park and did so for 11 years. She enjoyed Gourmet French cooking which was enjoyed by many. She loved gardening, being an active choir member and soloist, and had become an accomplished stain glass artist. She was an avid sports enthusiast especially for the Colorado Rockies and the Denver Broncos. Classical music was a special part of her life.
Glenda is survived by special friend Deanna Bleyle; and extended adopted family members.
A celebration of Glenda’s life will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, May 7, 2016 at the Allnutt Macy Chapel.
