Guadalupe Rosales -Sandoval, 85 years old, passed away on December 11, 2025 at Greeley's Banner North Colorado Medical Center surrounded by loved ones. He was born on September 29, 1940 to Amelio and Cecilia Rosales in Tepechitlan, Zacatecas, Mexico.
Guadalupe grew up on a small ranch in Tepechitlan, at an early age he was tasked to work to help his family of eleven total siblings which are survived by him - three sisters, seven brothers. He loved riding horses and hunting as a younger person. He would later join the Mexican Navy and serve thirteen years. Upon leaving the Navy shortly after he would come to the United States, lived in California and eventually come to Colorado to meet the love of his life, Catalina. He was a blue collared worker and worked many farm/ranch jobs from sheep, to turkeys, but he mostly worked hard as a dairy worker in multiple areas. Guadalupe was a man who loved life, his family, and friends, he loved to cook and have people over, he was the tamale king, his presence would light a room up and it would fill the space with his laughter and his wonderful stories. He will be truly missed.
Guadalupe is survived by his wife Catalina Rosales, and three sons Jose Rosales, Emilio Rosales, and Fabian Rosales, and his estranged daughter Lupita Rosales. He has two grandsons, four granddaughters and one great granddaughter.
A viewing and rosary will be held at Stoddard Funeral Home, located at 3205 West 28th Street, Greeley, CO 80634, on December 22, 2025, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
The church service will be held at St.John the Baptist church located at 1000 Country Acres Dr, Johnstown, CO 80534 at from 9:30 am to 11:45 am.
Burial will follow at Eaton Cemetery, Christensen Ave, Eaton, CO 80615, on December 23, 2025, from 12:30 pm to 2:00 pm. A live stream of the burial will be available at https://client.tribucast.com/tcid/c25126613090304.
A reception will be held following the interment at Eaton Recreation Center, 1675 3rd Street, Eaton, CO 80615, starting at 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm on December 23, 2025 for a potluck style dinner. .
Pallbearers will be Emilio Rosales, Fabian Rosales, Xavier Rosales, Adrian Rosales, Chemin Rosales, and Horacio Ochoa. Jose Rosales will serve as an honorary pallbearer.
