

Harold Lee Long, 81, went to be with his Lord and Savior November 27, 2025. Harold was born January 10, 1944 to Harold and Ruth (Weitzel) Long. On January 17, 1965, he married Carol Ziegler in Greeley, CO, and they were blessed with two children.
Harold was raised, educated, and farmed in the Windsor area for 40+ years, and in 2009 relocated to Ault where he continued to farm and raise cattle. Harold was a fun-loving man of faith who had a great sense of humor. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who loved spending time with his four grandchildren. Harold always had something new to entertain the grandchildren when they came to spend time on the family farm. The grandchildren had a pony before any of them could walk.
Harold was a charter member of Bethel Lutheran Church, where he served on the Church Council; was a member of Gideon's International; served on the RE4 Board of Education; was president of the Whitney Irrigation Co.; belonged to Ducks Unlimited; Lions Club and many agricultural organizations.
Harold is survived by his wife of 60 years, Carol, a daughter Carrie (Nathan) Vogel, a son Todd Long, four grandchildren, Talia Vogel, Hope (Ben) Lovisone, Carter (Faith) Vogel, and Joey Long; a great-grandson Curtis James Lovisone, and a sister Linnette (Bob) Noffsinger, as well as numerous other family members.
Harold was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Ruth Long.
Services will be held Tuesday, December 9, 2025 at 10:00 am, at Bethel Lutheran Church, 328 Walnut Street, Windsor, CO. Burial will be at Lakeview Cemetery.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to all the Doctors, nurses and staff at Anschutz Medical Center and Pathways Hospice.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Gideon's International, or Bethel Lutheran Church.
