Helen Louise Keller

Helen was a 1949 graduate of Gilcrest High School and married Billy Duane Keller on July 6, 1951. The couple had two children, Terri and Russell. Helen was the beloved secretary for the Gilcrest Elementary School for many years. Helen attended the Gilcrest Baptist Church her entire life, she sang in the church choir and served as a Deaconess. She was also the Sunday School Superintendent. Helen was also a member of the Gilcrest Sparkettes, the fire department auxiliary. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Helen was a devoted member of the Gilcrest community.

Helen and her family showed cattle and participated in the Stock Shows in 4H, she loved the outdoors and going camping with her loved ones. She was a terrific cook and coordinated family get togethers and vacations. Helen loved board games, card games and playing Scrabble. She also played the accordion and taught lessons at Adolph Lesser’s studio.

She is survived by her daughter Terri Burrous (Dale), and her son Russell “Rusty” Keller (Kendra), her grandchildren, Audrey Grubbs (Kevin), Amy Burrous, Randia May (Morgan) and Robyn Keller, great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn May, Jordyn Grubbs, Keegan May, and Hunter Grubbs.

Helen is preceded in death by her husband, Billy, her parents, Russell and Jennie, and sisters, Joan Baab and Alyce Pitts.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, January 25, 2025, at Allnutt Funeral Service Macy Chapel, 6521 W. 20th Street, Greeley, at 9:30 am, followed by a funeral service at 10:00 am, burial at Sunset Memorial Gardens, 3205 W. 28th Street, Greeley, and a reception ending at Allnutt Macy Chapel.
