Herman LeRoy Peterson, 62, of La Salle, passed away at North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley. He was born July 17, 1951 in Greeley to Herman and Dorothy (Plumb) Peterson. He married Connie R. Stroh on October 23, 1970 in Greeley.

Herman graduated from Platte Valley High School in Kersey in 1969. He graduated from the Electronic Technical Institute in Denver in 1970.

Herman worked for Freeman Truck Bodies from 1970 to 1997, and then started Peterson Fabrication with his son Greg in 1997.

Herman was a Jack of All Trades; he was quite the handyman fixing anything that needed to be fixed. He enjoyed fishing, camping, spending time with grandkids and going to the kid’s activities, gardening, driving, water skiing, roasting marshmallows with the grandkids, and driving tractor.

He is survived by his wife Connie Peterson, La Salle, CO; parents Herman and Dorothy Peterson, Kersey, CO; children Cindy Walker, La Salle, CO, Greg (Amber) Peterson, La Salle, CO; brother Randy (Laura) Peterson , Kersey, CO; sisters Marsha (Ron) Baker, Kersey, CO and Sandy (Rod) Roose, Denver, CO; grandchildren Jeremy and Adam Walker, and Sawyer and Owen Peterson.

Visitation 5-7:00 P.M. Thursday, July 10, 2014 at the Allnutt Macy Chapel. Viewing will be at 9:30 A.M. with services beginning at 10:30 A.M. Friday, July 11, 2014, a St. Paul’s Congregational Church. Interment at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
