

Howard was born in Akron, Colorado June 26, 1919 to Myra (Elder) and Henry Dansdill. He lived in Aspen, CO until he was 14 when his mom and sisters moved to Englewood after his father’s death. He married the love of his life, Julia Zoglo, February 15, 1947.
He is survived by 3 children: Judy Dansdill (Gary Poinsky) of Seattle; Larry Dansdill (Delia) of Northglenn; and Pat Simonds-Boegli (Bill) of Loveland. Howard is also survived by 4 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren, many nephews, nieces and the caring staff and residents of Bonell.
He is preceded in death by: his parents; his wife of 62 years, Julia; daughter Joyce; both of his sisters, and all of his sister in-laws and brother in-laws.
Howard served stateside in the Army-Air Corp during World War II. Howard and Julia raised their four children in Denver while he worked in the ornamental iron and construction business. They moved to Elbert, Colorado in 1969 then Ward, Colorado in 1971 while working as the Camp Ranger at Camp Tahosa for the Boy Scouts of American – Denver Area Council. They moved to Greeley in the mid-80s to retire but Howard continued to work as a handyman and volunteered for many organizations.
Howard was a man that lived for the moment, cherished every breath and the people with him. His stories will live on with his family and friends. Howard taught his children; “You always leave everyplace or everyone better than when you arrived.”
Services will be held at Sunset Memorial Gardens on August 7, 2015 at 11:30 A.M. followed by a celebration of life at Grace Church Youth Building.
