

Isabel was born in Wheatland, Wyoming to Phillip and Carmelita (Carabajal) Cordova. She married Abe Perea in 1944 in Cheyenne, Wyoming. They moved to Milliken in 1946. They were married for 64 years until his death on March 19, 2009. Isabel worked for Johnson’s Corner for 15 years and Itel for 10 years. She was a volunteer for Catholic Charities for 25 years, RSVP for several years, the Rodarte Senior Group and Los Ancianos Alegres Mexicanos for 15 years, Isabel was a member of Aposento Alto Church in Milliken for the past 64 years.
She enjoyed sewing, baking, crocheting and collecting dolls.
Isabel passed away on March 28 at her home surrounded by her family. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her sons, Frankie Perea of Greeley, Jerry Perea (Joann) of Loveland, Larry Perea of Milliken and Eusebio Nava (Maria) of Texas; daughters, Carmen Salazar of Greeley, Susie Leija of Quanah, Texas, Mary (Trudy) Perea and Louise Perea both of Milliken, Sarah Hernandez of Greeley and Antoinette Corralez (Larry) of Evans; sisters, Nora Esparsen of Fort Lupton, Juanita Lobato of California, Elizabeth Cordova of Aurora, Rosie Lobato of Denver and Priscilla Wakley, Margie Espinosa, Elenor Lopez and Lena Cordova all of Greeley; 38 grandchildren, 52 great-grandchildren and 23 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Abe Perea and parents, Phillip and Carmelita Cordova.
Celebration of Life will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, April 6, 2013 at Grace Community Church in Johnstown.
