James “Bud” Whedbee, 86, of Loveland, passed away peacefully on January 31, 2017, in Loveland. Bud was born September 7, 1930, in Huntington, Arkansas, to Samuel and Elouise Whedbee. He was baptised as a Jehovah’s Witness in 1956 and was a lifelong dedicated servant of Jehovah. Bud was a water meter supervisor for the Denver Water Department and retired in 1991 after a 40-year career.
Bud is survived by his wife Nona, his son Mark, daughters Carol and Mindy, step-children Lura, Jolene, Wade, and Joey, Bud’s brother Charles, two grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. Bud is preceded in death by his parents, first wife, Phyllis and one grandchild.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 4, at 2 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses at 628 Ptarmigan Run in Loveland. A reception will follow at 3 p.m. at Resthaven Funeral Home at 8426 U.S. 287 in Ft. Collins.
