

Jean was a 1972 graduate of Longmont Senior High School. She was a National Honor Society Member. She attended the University of Northern Colorado on a four year scholarship. Graduating with an emphasis on teaching Social Studies and English, she taught at Heath Junior High School for 27 years. She had a natural passion to teach. She gave of her time to migrant students during the summer months. After retirement she was an active volunteer for Habitat of Humanity ReStore in Loveland and also for Centennial Village in presenting displays. She loved to teach people of her heritage.
She enjoyed reading Science Fiction, Adventure and Mystery Novels. She loved the Doctor Who series, going to the movies, concerts and collecting antiques. She loved animals especially her pets, stray cats and a white dove. She was a very independent woman with very strong beliefs.
Jean is survived by her brothers, Jack (Rebecca) Trejo, Harson (Ligia) Trejo, sister, Peggy Coryell, nephews, Jason (Nicole) Trejo, William (Jackie) Acosta-Trejo, and Harson Trejo Jr., nieces, Nicole (Michael) T. Dumond, Emalyn Trejo, great nephews, Andrew and Liam Acosta-Trejo; great nephew and nieces, Branson, Tayfon and Adison Dumond and Mary Trejo.
A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, January 30, at Allnutt Macy Chapel, 6521 W. 20th Street, Greeley, at 2:00 pm.
